Anyone else think the Butterfly Knife Black Laminate is slept on in CS2?
Picked up a Black Laminate butterfly a few weeks ago and honestly it looks better in game than I expected. Anyone else running one? Feels like it never gets mentioned next to the flashier knife options
Gets slept on for sure. Everyone chases Dopplers and Fades but Black Laminate has a different kind of appeal. Understated but genuinely clean looking. Good choice
Never understood why it gets overlooked. Found https://daysaver.net/a-guide-to-butterfly-knife-black-laminate-in-cs2/ a while back which breaks down the float ranges and what each wear level actually looks like. Lower floats bring out the texture in a way that makes it look almost like a different skin. The in-game look is better than any screenshot shows it. Animation on the butterfly makes any skin look good anyway but Black Laminate fits that blade particularly well. People chase Dopplers and miss some genuinely solid options right next to them in the market
