How do you actually get Instagram posts onto your phone as real files?

Is there a clean way to save Instagram posts directly to your camera roll? The built-in save only keeps them in the app and I want actual files on my phone

Instagram only lets you save your own posts to camera roll. For everything else you have to screen record or find another way. Never understood why they made it that restrictive
