We’re planning a rear extension with a lot more glass than the original house, and I’m trying to find a glazing company that can handle something a bit more bespoke. The architect suggested architectural glazing to keep the new space bright and modern. Has anyone worked with a good installer on a similar project and can recommend someone worth contacting?
During our rear extension, the glazing became the feature that needed the most careful planning. We wanted large panels and slim lines, but the openings were not completely standard, so an ordinary window supplier wasn’t ideal. Architectural glazing talked through the architectural glazing options with our builder and helped coordinate the measurements and installation. The finished room is bright without feeling disconnected from the original house. I’d involve the glazing company early and check frame details, drainage and lead times before finalising the design.
